4th AsiaSolar Photovoltaic Exhibition Held Successfully in Shanghai
The 2009 AsiaSolar Photovoltaic Exhibition was successfully held for the fourth time between March 30 and April 1, 2009, in Shanghai. More than 10 of the China New Energy Chamber of Commerce leaders were in attendance, including Deputy Chairman Shi Zhengrong. They were joined at the opening ceremony by a range of specially invited solar PV industry leaders, and by VIPs from prominent Chinese and overseas companies. More than 10 domestic and international media came to cover the event, including CCTV and Reuters.
Despite the strains of the current global financial situation this year’s exhibition enjoyed a 50% increase in participation over last year, welcoming 362 exhibiting companies and 25,000 guests, of which 4,500 were buyers from overseas. The scale and internationalisation of the exhibition was greatly strengthened this year, and AsiaSolar has enjoyed another step forward in creating a name of international importance.
The 2009 AsiaSolar Photovoltaic Forum, held concurrently with the exhibition, offered for the fourth time a platform for high-end technical discussion and debate. More than 10 international industry experts offered their views and expertise on professional technical subjects, including silicon material, PV modules, new equipment, battery technology, and industry standards. The audience also had the opportunity to interact with the speakers in Q & A sessions. This year’s forum attracted 800 audience members, and received a positive response from participants.
